Are You Ready to Discover Some Mind-Blowing Hidden Gems in Anime?

Yes, I’m talking about some underrated anime. I know a lot of you are fed up with watching popular anime. There are some hidden gems whose stories, animation, and action are amazing. But people still don’t know much about them. Some are true masterpieces that never received much attention. Well, today’s video will give you some great underrated masterpieces to watch. And this video is part four of this underrated series. I’ve uploaded three parts before this, where I recommended a lot of underrated anime. Make sure you’re watching all those parts too. Let’s get started now.

Claymore – A Dark Medieval Masterpiece

If you like action, mystery, and intense emotional anime, I recommend Claymore. It’s one of the most underrated anime that no one talks about.
This anime is set in a mediaeval world, where the demons of the Human Arm eat humans. And to stop them, there are the Claymores.

Who Are the Claymores?

They are half-human, half-demon female warriors, known as Claimers because of their large swords. Their silver eyes and super strength make them deadly against the Yoma. But there’s a catch — if she overuses her demonic powers, she can become a monster herself.

The Story and Characters

Intense Right’s main protagonist is Claire, a low-ranking Claimer on a mission of revenge. Their story is heartwarming. Like a tragedy, it’s filled with friendship and sacrifice. And there’s a boy named Raki who becomes Clear’s companion. The bond between these two characters is the heart of this anime.

Animation and Ending

Plus, there are dark secrets of organisations and the mystery of the Yoma’s origins, which will keep you glued to Anne. And this anime was animated by Madhouse. If you know Mad House’s work, you should know what the animation will be like.
But again, Anne is old, from 2007. Anne has only one season and 26 episodes. You could finish it in two days if you wanted. However, there’s one small complaint: the ending is different from the manga. Because the manga ended before it could be completed, it disappointed fans a bit, but the journey is gripping enough that you won’t be bored, for sure. If you want to read the manga, it’s also a masterpiece.

Darker Than Black – The World of Contractors and Mystery

Have you heard of Darker Than Black, Anne? If you like action, suspense, and mind-bending stories, I recommend it to you. I highly recommend watching this anime.

Setting and Concept

Darker Than Black is a 2007 anime animated by Studio Bones, yes, the same studio that created Full Metal Alchemist. This anime has only 25 episodes and is set in a futuristic world where a mysterious area called Hell’s Gate changes the entire world. After this, some people gain supernatural powers, known as Contractors.

Who Are the Contractors?

Contractors are people who gain superpowers in exchange for losing their emotions. Each Contractor has a unique power within them, but every time they use it, they have to pay a price. For example, they have to perform a weird task.

The Protagonist: Hei

The protagonist of this story is Hei, codenamed Black Ribber. He is a contractor working on a secret mission, but his past and motives are a total mystery. The story of Darker Than Black is quite draped. He, along with his team, Yan Mao Wang, engages in dangerous missions.

Shikai Yori (From the New World) – A Philosophical Journey

A philosophical and emotional one. If you want to enjoy a roller coaster, I recommend this anime. Shikai Yori, meaning “From the New World”, is a 2012 anime with only 25 episodes and animated by Avon Pictures.

Setting and Story

This anime is set a thousand years in the future, where people live in a perfect society with psychic powers. But this perfection is a blatant lie. The story revolves around Saki Wata Nabe and his friends, Satoru Maria Sun Mamoro, from childhood to adulthood. From childhood to adulthood, they uncover the dark secrets of their society.

Deep Themes and World-Building

In this world of psychic powers, everyone is controlled. And who is outside of it? Monster Reds, half-humans and half-creatures, are waging their own rebellion. This anime raises profound questions about society, morality, and humanity, which makes it very different from other anime.

Death Parade – A Game Between Life and Death

You’ve already seen Death Note, but have you heard of Death Parrot? Have you seen it? This anime is a dark game about life, death, and human emotion. It’s from 2015, and it was animated by the Death Note-like sim studio Mad House.

The Setting of the Afterlife

The story is set in the afterlife, Queen Decim, where souls are judged. Like heaven or hell. The question arises, but how? Through a twisted game. Queen Decim’s character is Tenor Decim, an arbiter who judges souls.

Final Thoughts – Five Underrated Anime You Must Watch

Doesn’t thatMy job was to recommend five underrated anime to you. I did. The rest of you can watch all five of these here if you want.
Number one is Dead Parrot. Doesn’t mean Dead Parrot is the best? Number five is being claimed. Doesn’t mean it’s the worst? It’s not. The numbering is just like that.
